Senior Adult Ministry

No matter the age, you’re never too old to grow closer to God. That’s why we’ve designed a ministry that helps senior adults realize God’s best for their lives.

We call our Senior Adult Ministry the Forerunner Ministry, which includes adults age 55 and older. The Bible, in Hebrews, describes these people as the ones who run the race with endurance and example. Our Foreunners are involved with a variety of events and opportunities throughout the year. These include mission projects at home and across the country, inspiring trips, and great times of fellowship and service with each other, our church, and our community.

Bible Fellowship

Maybe you’d feel more comfortable joining a small group for fun or for a Bible study. You’ll find groups like that here at First Carrollton. Our seniors are involved in the community and in each other’s lives…and they have a lot of fun along the way.

Activities

• Bible Fellowship Classes each Sunday at 8:15 am and 11 am.
• Many opportunities of fellowship and inspiration for seniors of all ages.
• Helpful life-stage seminars throughout the year.
• Specially designed mission projects for seniors to conduct locally and away.
• Encouragement and visitation at nursing homes and with homebound seniors.
• Utilize former teachers and "teachers at heart" for tutoring.
• Safe, guided travel to exciting destinations across the country.
• Day trips throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
• Monthly trips to welcome home the Military.
• Provide meals for members, families and communities after funerals or memorial services.
• Provide a Christmas wish to children in the community.
• Grief, Widow/Widower and Cancer Care Support groups.
