Topical Studies

Sundays at 4:45 pm

The LORD Saves: Isaiah - taught by Dr. Kenneth Barker in Room 105. This class begins September 7. This is a continuation of last semester’s course, but new students are welcome. We will resume our study with Isaiah 51 and particular emphasis will be given to Messianic passages.

Wednesdays at 6:30 pm

Wednesday Night Bible Study - led by Mark Nevels in the Parlor. This class begins on September 3.

Lessons on Living from the Life of Christ - taught by Dr. Kenneth Barker in Room 105. Class begins September 3. This course will continue in the spring semester. We will study selected episodes in the four Gospels, looking for lessons on living from the words and works of Christ. The cost of the textbook is $10.

DivorceCare - taught by Dr. Joe Cook and Judyann Robinson in Room 108. This 12-week small group experience begins September 3 and is designed to help those who are recently divorced or separated. Features include video sessions with nationally known experts and interactive support from others experiencing separation and divorce. This course will help people deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding their lives. The cost of the book is $12.

Grief Share - facilitated by Bob Moore in Room 106. This 13-week class begins September 3. Grief Share is designed to help people grieving the loss of a loved one to understand that grief and to share it with others who are also in the grieving process. Grief and mourning are natural and unique experiences which can be made easier by sharing them with one who has experienced a similar loss. The workbook is $12.

Women's Studies

Wednesdays 6:30-8 pm

Exodus—A study of deliverance, redemption, the Law, and the Tabernacle by Kay Arthur - facilitated by Kim Winblood in Room 102. This 12-week study will be will be taught in two 6-week blocks beginning September 3. Sometimes one can look at the Israelites on their journey to the Promised Land and think, “What was their problem?" God continually provided for them, often by performing miracles, yet their commitment to Him was short lived. For 40 years they were on spiritual roller coaster. Then we stop and realize, “that's kind of how I live too”. There is great encouragement in this study! Come study Exodus with us and learn powerful truths about His ways in a remarkably practical study of deliverance and redemption. The is one of the best studies. You will not be disappointed! The cost of this class is $20 which includes child-care.
