The Word is an all-church Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm in the Parlor. Dr. Brent Taylor will be leading a study on the book of Ephesians.

Solving Church Problems: A Study of 1 Corinthians

This class, taught by Dr. Ken Barker, is a verse-by-verse practical exposition of 1 Corinthians. The problems to be dealt with include divisions in the church, sexual immorality, lawsuits, marriage, questionable practices, public worship resurrection, and giving.

Beginnings: A Study of Genesis

This class, taught by Dr. Ken Barker, is a verse-by-verse practical exposition of the book of Genesis and deals with the beginnings of the world, humans, civilization, sin, redemption, Israel, etc. This semester we will be looking for lessons on living from the life of Joseph.

This 13-week class, facilitated by Rita Martin and Betty Haney, is designed to help people grieving the loss of a loved one to understand their grief and to share with others in the grieving process. Grief and mourning are natural and unique experiences. Sharing these experiences with others can be helpful.

American Sign Language, Part 2

This 9-week class will use the book, Signing Illustrated by Mickey Flodin as a complete learning guide to teach American Sign Language by "category," the most popular and preferred method of teaching and learning. The class will be facilitated by Juanita Stone.

Women’s Bible Studies

James: Mercy Triumphs

This 9-week study by Beth Moore is an in-depth women's Bible study led by Allison Taylor. James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.

Brave: Honest Questions Women Ask

This 9-week study, led by Sarah Lacefield, is written by Angela Thomas and based on her trade book, Do You Know Who I Am? and Other Brave Questions Women Ask. This Bible study for women looks at the heart of what women are thinking and feeling. Angela speaks to participants about deep feelings that all women have at one time or another. She looks boldly at some of the fears and struggles of being a woman, and she helps us see how we can be brave in the face of those challenges.
